SOCIAL MEDIA ILLUSTRATION + EVENT DESIGN

For the “French May” season in Hong Kong, 1664 requested our assistance in creating an illustration for their contribution to the event. By means of attracting local patrons they asked if we could illustrate the event itself, only problem was that the event had not yet happened. So how do you draw an event yet to happen? With their guidance the 1664 team, they outlined the itinerary of activities and we set about illustrating an event that patrons could envision themselves attending. Highlighting its main components such as the food and beverage, music, artists working, etc. patrons could get a sense of the vibe of the event. The illustration had multiple uses from their invitations to their press releases.

Continuing with the same event, set up exterior illustrations were created for the tents and the entrance way to immediately provide the events attendees with the theme that continued throughout the space. Working within the bounds of specific measurements of each tent also played its part in the practicality of the designs framework. 1664, being a French brand and fusing with the “French May” season, briefed our team with the aspiration to create a space that was an escape to France. So iconic French imagery that would immediately correlate within the minds of the public were hand illustrated for each tent. The event hosted 33,000 patrons along the Harbour Front, and really brought France to Hong Kong.
