For White Day in Japan we set out to create a design in collaboration with Pierre Herme’s range of macarons with the notion of echoing the motif along with the flavours within each package.
Whilst encompassing the essence of the day it is wise to tread lightly on the blurred line of romantic and friendly as the gift can be for a lover or simply a work colleague. Our approach drew focus on the name of the day itself ‘white’ as well as the particular flavours within each box.
With the total of five boxes, the exterior designed packaging illustration was an indicator of what array of flavoured macarons were within.
